We’re excited to spotlight Autism International Consulting (AIC), an organization utilizing personal experience to promote advocacy and support for individuals with autism.

Founded by Armando Bernal, who was diagnosed with autism as a child, AIC was born from a personal journey of resilience. Now a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Armando dedicates his work to uplifting others on the spectrum. He also travels around the country – speaking at events, participating in podcasts, and connecting with other ABA professionals – to share his story, inspire others, and provide insight into best practices in the ABA space. Autism International Consulting is currently the only autistic-owned ABA therapy center in Houston, Texas.

AIC works to share that autism is a diverse spectrum and that every person’s story deserves to be heard. Their mission centers on:

  • Raising awareness and promoting acceptance of neurodiversity
  • Honoring the voices of those living with autism
  • Fostering curiosity, innovation, education, and acceptance
